South Carolina State Council President Sam Brick participated in a local Veterans Day parade.
Members of Chapter 303 attended the Veterans Day Memorial Service in the community center because the Veterans Day parade was canceled. The city sponsored a (small) Veterans Memorial Service inside because of the rain. It was well attended by various groups and individuals including Gen. Beagle (CG Ft. Jackson) and Gen. Grimsley (Sec. of Veterans Affairs). Members of Chapter 303 also attended the burials of three unclaimed veterans at Ft. Jackson National Cemetery on November 6, 2020.
The Chapter held an event on Veterans Day at the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Cleveland Park Greenville South Carolina. The event was held at 11:00 AM and was attended by the DAR and other Veteran's organizations along with a flag retirement ceremony, laying of wreath, color guard. The Chapter will also be participating in decorating the Christmas tree at the Hyatt this year with the theme of honoring the soldiers from South Carolina that have received the Medal of Honor award for their distinguished service.
